Rock Your unConference
A traditional conference model (one expert giving the knowledge to a bunch of passive receivers) is so last year. Now we want things like conversation. Collective wisdom. Collaborative action planning. Enter the unConference: a co-learning experience where the attendees create their own sessions based on their expertise and experience and the agenda is scheduled on the fly. That makes participants walk away wanting more. Let me help you plan and facilitate your unConference. I can handle things like choosing a venue, getting people sparked and organized in thinking about what they’d like to share, emcee the event, and give tips on best practices, techniques, and unConference protocols for organizing the day. After your event, I’ll create follow-up goodies (printable, video, whatever) from all the co-created knowledge that was generated at the unConference. I’ll also condense all the actionable ideas for easy publishing in your Web space or mine.
I’m yours for the day
Get an entire day of my time dedicated to your event. That time could be spent giving a keynote, running several breakout sessions, attending lunch/dinner with leaders or other stakeholders, or any other collection of activities that meet your professional development needs. This rate also includes an extensive online resource package for participant use and follow-up.
Spark the mic
I will deliver a one hour interactive keynote on the topic of your choice or you may choose from several options listed here. This rate also includes a short (10-30 minute) wrap-up session at the end of your event.
Hands-on, all day
Get a customized workshop around a theme of your choice. The workshop includes interactive presentations with whole and small group processing activities embedded in online and offline spaces. I’ll develop a complete online resource/materials space for unlimited participant use and follow-up. Activities will reinforce and model best practice around topics being shared. This workshop runs from 9-3pm (with an hour lunch).
The perfect plan
Let me help you plan your event as well as make your big day a success with oversight and facilitation. This package is totally customizable, but as an example, let’s say you have a three-day event that needs to be pulled off. I will train the facilitators, give insight to planning the event’s activities, and then provide oversight of facilitators during the event. This package also includes a keynote presentation plus one breakout or wrap-up session.

Additional support and deepening of learning can be offered through the development and leadership of an online learning community for your participants.

Developing your tribe
A “learn by doing” experience in community leadership and a jump start to your organization’s community of practice. Here’s how it works:
- I’ll develop and oversee an online, asynchronous learning community.
- Your community leaders will watch and learn, with the goal to eventually take over leadership of this online space.
- I’ll provide individual and small group coaching, screencasts, tutorials, articles and case studies, and authentic examples of how to lead an online community.
Your community will become a portal of content, research, videos, case studies and computer mediated conversations that can be utilized 24/7 by the school, district or organization.

- Co-developed and led a four year, Microsoft funded, 21st Century learner curriculum and professional development model delivered to educators and students in schools across the state of Alabama through the Alabama Best Practices Center
