Professional Learning Communities – The Next Generation

Research shows that professional learning communities (PLCs) are our best hope for schools to make big changes and shifts. For educators to fully understand the implications of an interconnected, networked world for their students, we must begin to see ourselves as a part of a global community of learners. This means a willingness to share what happens in our classrooms with others beyond our own hallways and to collaborate and reflect with other educators without the constraints of time and space. It also means working to build a culture of openness and trust on a local level that will lead to greater connections and learning for every constituency, from students to parents to teachers themselves.

In this workshop, learn from The Connected Educator’s authors how to bring your school’s PLC into the 21st century to meet the needs of today’s learners
